Agents and Authors

I have an article on the Writer's Digest Blog:

It's from the author-agent panel at this year's NE-SCBWI Conference.  Read what authors and their agents had to say about a variety of topics.

  1. Congratulations! And those were some good questions. Interesting what they won't represent.

  3. Congratulations. Good post. I was interested to learn that they actually enjoy follow up querying from a writer submitting a new book. I don't think many writers starting out realize that.

  5. Lovely Theresa! I tried to register - but can't find "Great Britain" or "United Kingdom" or England or UK on the drop down box for country so cancelled the registration and returned here! LOL! Although I have a suspicion I registered a couple of years ago... but can't remember now! LOL!

I really like how the agents featured over at Writer's Digest are willing to nurture and foster a writing talent over many books so long as it's in the type of genre they represent. I like that it's all about relationships!

Glad to that they are optimistic about the publishing industry being quite robust in these hard times! Take care

  12. I didn't realize that agents were okay with being queried on several projects, but I guess it makes sense if they're open to seeing what progress you've made on the writing journey. Good questions.

I especially like knowing that it's okay to query more than once with different projects. Gives me hope!
