I have a post on Chuck Sambuchino's blog at Writer's Digest!!!!!!

Check it out:

  1. Holy cow! That's like having a gig on Letterman! Seriously. I am impressed. I am also on my way over! :-)

  2. I can't leave a comment on your guest post. The comment section isn't providing the code, and without it the comments won't post. But I loved it! Thanks for all the great (and so important) information! :-)

  3. Very cool! Informative well done and well-written. You should keep a link to this on your sidebar. Nice! Who knows what other surprising ways attending that conference will pay off for you?!

  4. Thanks for sharing that information, Theresa. I tried to leave a comment there, but am not sure if it went through. However, it seems that much of what you learned might apply to the adult markets as well, which is good to know. It seems more important than ever that we keep our work shining and relevant right now.

  5. How cool is that? You did a great job reporting on that session. I know, I was there. Congratulations.

  6. Shannon, I've had the comment problem there and on Jane Friedman's Writer's Digest comment section too. If you hit submit anyway, it will save your info and then give you a code. Sometimes I have to do the code eight times. They have a glitch. Thanks for trying!

I love the gig on Letterman comparison.

KarenG, that's a good idea to keep it on my sidebar. Should I call it "Publications"?

Joanne, thanks for trying to leave a comment. See what I wrote to Shannon. I'm glad you found the post helpful.

  7. Saumya, thank you!

Judy Mintz, thanks. Back in February or March I'd commented on Chuck's blog about going to the conference. He e-mailed me, inviting me to do a guest post afterwards. At the conference, I took more notes than ever before!

Brigid, thanks! I didn't know it would go up so soon. I wound up writing two posts yesterday.

  10. Wow! Congratulations! That is certainly very special and quite an honor! The article was very formative and I learned alot. By the way, How did you land a spot as guest writer?
Hope you are enjoying your day.

  11. Very nice! I actually won a chance to show Ami the first 3 chapters of my MG, so it was great to see her name pop up! She gave me a very nice personal reject, which helped me buckle down and tackle what needed to happen in that MS. I was lucky to get personal feedback early on, but that just seems like the kind of person she is.

    Thanks for sharing! :)

  12. Shannon - I was just over there and your comment did post. I didn't have any problem posting mine, so maybe they worked out the glitch?

That was an awesome interview, Theresa! Truly, it was just packed with great information. I'm going to bookmark it (especially because one of those agents sounded like a good fit for my wip!) :)

  17. For those of you who have commented since Old Kitty, my comments section is down for reply. All of your comments are showing up on my e-mail but not here.
I can't get on Guide to Literary Agents either. What's going on with blogs? Anyone else having a problem with their blog?

  19. My blog says I have 21 comments, but when I click on it's only 15. I'm responding to Susan Kaye Quinn:

Okay, it's me. I confess! I've brought down the Internet.

Why on the day of my first guest post would such a thing happen? It sure is putting a roadblock in front of my momentum.

  20. Old Kitty, I'm glad you found the report hopeful and helpful. I would be proud to have any of those three as my agents.

Choices, I commented on Chuck's blog back in February or March that I'd be attending the conference because it was related to his post about pitching. That day, I received an e-mail asking if I'd like to do a guest post after the conference.

Susan Kaye Quinn, I've never met any of them, but the way they answered question on the panel made me think they'd be excellent agents.

  21. Susan Fields, I'm glad you found a potential agent. I hope it works out! They were all fantastic. When asked what potential clients should ask agents, they agreed writers should make sure their agents will call them back.

Jen, you made me laugh. Yes, I'm a celebrity. My phone's been ringing off the hook (with sub calls).

Aubrie, I'm sorry you and a few other people couldn't see the link or comment. The link is working this morning.

Shelley, I'm sorry you had problems too. The link is working now, but I haven't tried to comment on the post.
